THE ORGANIZATION BEHIND THE DISTRICT
106th & College, Inc. is a place-based organization dedicated to supporting and growing the 106th & College business district in the heart of Home Place. Established in 2025 following a neighborhood planning process led by the City of Carmel, the organization embraces the proven Main Street approach to community revitalization—focusing on economic vitality, thoughtful design, and strong local partnerships. Guided by a volunteer board of directors and currently pursuing nonprofit status, 106th & College, Inc. works to ensure the district remains a vibrant, locally rooted destination that truly feels like home.
106th and College, Inc. works in close partnership with the City of Carmel and Greater Home Place Neighborhood Association.
THE LONG TERM VISION
This Is Home is a strategic blueprint for the future of Carmel, Indiana’s Home Place. Developed in three stages with extensive community input, it aims to preserve Home Place’s unique character and foster community growth. More than just a vision plan, it created the identity for the 106th & College area, established a new Indiana Main Street organization, and planted the seeds for short and long-term improvements. These include ways to support more community-oriented activities, beautification initiatives, enhanced connectivity, and guidelines for village-scaled infill development. The overall goal is to create a thriving community for all residents.
